The precursor to the modern awning, it replaces springs with a side winding mechanism that is operated by means of a handle. Traditional shop blinds can be made with this system. Large roller blinds can also be produced.

This gearbox system is adaptable and can also be used on internal blinds. A variety of different gearboxes and their tube sizes mean that a very large range of both internal and external blinds can be produced.
